When your Senior Patrol Leader attends Camp Hi-Sierra, they attend for free and take part in a leadership experience built to strengthen real-world skills.

This is more than a week at camp. It is a chance for your SPL to grow as a leader, practice decision-making, and bring stronger leadership back to your troop.

Learning how to move from “just talking” to leading clear, organized, and productive troop and patrol meetings.

The Patrol Method in Action
Building a structure that gives patrols ownership while keeping the troop moving toward a shared vision.

Learning how to build a troop environment that is welcoming, inclusive, and focused on growth.

Strategic Delegation
Moving from “doing it all” to leading through others and helping more Scouts take responsibility.

The Hi-Sierra Edge
Camp Hi-Sierra gives SPLs a real-time leadership laboratory. They can test new skills, lead in an active camp setting, and receive feedback from experienced staff and mentors.

Your SPL will leave camp with more confidence, stronger leadership tools, and practical ideas they can use right away in your troop. SPL week is either before or after the regular week of Camp. If your troop is not attending Hi-Sierra in 2027, we can work with your troop to still extend this amazing Free week to your SPL.
